All Was Right In The World

My husband and I had a real thrill yesterday. For the first time we met Indian Lake Papa and Mama. He kept on insisting that he didn't know us and even though he was wearing a hat that read, "Indian Lake Papa" he insisted we had the wrong fellow. Well, we just sat down and had lunch with him and his lovely wife and his mother-in-law anyway. Folks, I just want to say that Papa is the real deal. He truly is among the most genuine of Christian spirits I have met. He has a gentle, quiet spirit that whispers peace and joy. He lives what he has cultivated - a life of love and warmth and friendship. And he's quite the comedian, too. It was a wonderful lunch that went by way too fast. I am so grateful for the way blogging has opened up new friendships to me and how upon meeting each other we felt like old friends. He said that he has come to respect my blog and I am still smiling about that. I told him that I love how he reaches his readers with his humor and real life examples - nothing pretentious about his blog - or about him. What he thinks of me and my husband . . . well, after we took off the nose and glasses, all was right in the world.

Parsley, it was fun!! I want to say thank you for your comments and for reading along, it really does mean a lot to me. I don't have the time to comment on all the blogs I want to each day, but sooner or later I do catch up on reading them. Papa has met many bloggers and that's an inspiration to me. I want to be him when I grow up :)
Be blessed.

I understand that. No problems my friend.

Yes, IL Papa is a special person. If I never meet him and IL Mama in real life, I'll see them in Heaven I know. Such genuine, sweet spirits.

And...I'm sure I'll meet you someday too. In this world or another ;)

Be blessed.

Oh... wow! I envy you! (Ok, I'll try not to turn green)

Any plans to vacation in Jamaica? I should probably ask Papa that question too.;)

Ruth, someday I plan on visiting American Ministries for the Deaf in Jamaica. We have sponsored children there (2 who have graduated from the program) we and continue to support the efforts there. So, yes, someday I will show up at your door - I'll be easy to recognize with my black mustache and eyebrows :)
Be blessed.

Oh good Lord! No! You could get arrested for looking 'suspicious'... and you don't want to wind up on the wrong side of a Third World cop. Trust me on this. ;)

I look forward to meeting you both in person. (It would be fun to meet the teenagers who have starred in your posts from time to time as well.) ;)

Heh Heh! We had fun - it was a good day! We got to our destination by 5:30Pm. Tomorrow we have lunch with Ed! I wish I had your nose and mustache - I do want the world to know that your hub's nose and mustache in the picture are fake.

Heh Heh! We love you all!!

Thank you Papa and Mama - we will never forget our first meeting with you!

We should have given you the nose and the mustache when we departed - Ed would have appreciated it :)

Safe travels back home - blessings, blessings, blessings. . .
